Denis Goldberg is a social campaigner from South Africa who actively worked against apartheid. Goldberg was arrested and tried in the Rivonia Trial alongside Nelson Mandela, being imprisoned for 22 years before his release on the condition of his exile from South Africa.
Physicist Juan Maldacena of the Institute for Advanced Study will visit the University of Kentucky Friday and will deliver the 2014 van Winter Memorial Lecture in Mathematical Physics.
Renowned photographer, writer, and filmmaker Eugene Richards will give the final presentation in the Robert C. May Endowment Photography Lecture Series at 4 p.m. on March 14, in Worsham Theater.
