Hello. My name is Daniel Poston. I am a freshman at the University of Kentucky, and I am currently enrolled in the pre-nursing program, with intentions of becoming a nurse practitioner. I was diagnosed with hereditary pancreatitis in 2005. Since then, my history is chalk-full of hospital visits, nurses, and doctor visits. This has influenced my decision to become a nurse, because I feel the need to help other people who are coming from similar circumstances. My previous life of hospital visits, narcotics, and insanely great nurses inspired me to live to help change the lives of people I help.
