The Department of Gender and Women's Studies will be hosting an interactive, virtual panel that will feature people who graduated with GWS degrees. The event will take place Monday, January 27, from 2-4 pm in the Hardymon Theater in the Marksbury Building on UK's campus.

Karen Tice, associate professor in the University of Kentucky College of Education Department of Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation, recently authored her new book, "Queens of Academe: Beauty Pageantry, Student Bodies, and Campus Life," published by Oxford University Press.
Karen Tice is a professor in the Department of Gender and Women's Studies. Professor Tice is giving a lecture on April 18th entitled Queens of Academe: Student Life and Campus Pageantry. The lecture is a part of a series put on by the Gender and Women Studies department. Professor Tice's lecture is based on her forthcoming book, Queens of Academe: Beauty Pageants, Student Bodies, and Campus Life, which will be published in March.
Series kicks off this Thursday with Linguistics professor Rusty Barrett, with a lecture entitled "Sickening Queens"
