The Universal Language: Latin

Drs. Milena Minkova and Terence Tunberg from the Modern & Classical Languages, Literatures and Cultures Department will present “The Universal Language: Latin” at the International Village LLP.

Cultural Research and Internship Opportunities
September 18th, 2018, Gatton College of Business, 435 UV, 3:00pm-4:00pm
Panelists will include Juliana McDonald, George Crothers, Philip Mink, and Renee Bonzani from the University of Kentucky’s Department of Anthropology. The University of Kentucky Department of Anthropology offers programs in three sub-disciplines of anthropology: archaeology, cultural, and biological. Learn about new and upcoming research, opportunities for field work, as well as their experiences with working with the Museum of Archeology. International Studies featured event.

Confucianism and Nature: Ecological Motifs in Kang Youwei's Great Community

Education Abroad Fall Fair

The Education Abroad Fair showcases every international education opportunity available at UK. Students will find a range of global options, including study, intern, research, teach and service abroad programs. In addition, campus offices involved in the education abroad planning process, such as Financial Aid, the J. W. Stuckert Career Center and others, will be available to answer questions.

Los Códices: An Exhibit of Illustrated Books from Indigenous Mesoamerica
September 19th, 2018, Margaret I. King Library, Special Collections, 3:30pm-4:30pm
Exhibit discussion by Dr. Lori Diel of Texas Christian University: "The Codex Mexicanus: Religion, History, and Medicine in an Aztec Codex" will be held on the 19th. Presented by Department of Hispanic Studies, UK Libraries Special Collections, Research Center Department of Anthropology Latin American, Latino, and Caribbean Studies Program. The exhibit will be open to the public during regular library hours from September 19th to October 26th(M-F, 8am to 4pm).
